Jammu
Jammu is beautiful and northern most state of India. After Emperor Jahangir, Jammu state was compared to Paradise and was stated as only place in earth which is similar to heaven. Currently Jammu is divided into 2 cities, new and old. It has number of forts, temples, palaces, lakes etc. and its most visited and one of the best tourist places in India.

Srinagar

Srinagar is known as capital of Jammu and is located in the heart of the Kashmir Valley. Most attractive and famous places in Srinagar are house boats, its lakes and aquatic activities like water surfing, canoeing, kayaking and many more can be done in Srinagar. Some tourist places in Jammu which must be visited are Nishat Bagh, Dal Lake, Pari Mahal, Hari Parbat, Shankaracharya Temple, Kheer Bhavani etc.

Amarnath

Amarnath is very famous place for teerth yatra during the month of Shravan which falls around the month of July – August. This yatra starts from Amarnath Cave where abode of Lord Shiva is. For this yatra, we need to trek a height of about 14,500 ft. which is very beautiful and truly picturesque of mountains and valleys but might be scary as well.

Vaishno Devi

Vaishno Devi is very famous Hindu Temple of goddess Vaishno Devi who is lord of Shakti’s. If we go through our mythology, goddess has spent some time in a cave which is located at altitude of 5,200 ft and from then this place become sacred. It is 2nd most religious place in India where nearly 60,000 devotees visit every year.

Patnitop

The landscapes of Patnitop are covered with full of snow in winters and pastoral land in summer. Tourist visits this place to relax and to spend some quality time to refresh and make their mood happy. One can do skiing in winters and paragliding in summers.

Gulmarg

In Hindi Gulmarg means meadow of flowers and this name is perfect for this hill station. This hill station is covered with lots of beautiful flowers. Common flowers which are found in Gulmarg are forget-me-nots, daises, bluebells and buttercups. Gulmarg is located 2730 meters above the sea level. One can view snow capped mountains from Gulmarg. Leh

Udhampur

Udhampur is 2nd larget city of Jammu and is named after famous king Udham Singh. This city is surrounded by eucalyptus forest. You will find sub tropical climate in Udhampur. You can visit Krimchi Temples, Baba Dhansar, Bhimgarh Fort, Babore Temples, Sheesh Mahal etc.

Sonamarg

Due to beautiful picturesque of the clean blue sky and snowy mountains Sonamarg has been named as Meadow of Gold. You can find lush green meadows which can be visited for a decent picnic or formal visit. Famous places to visit are Zojila Pass, Vishansar Lake, Thajwas Glacier etc.

Pahalgam
