Ways To Get Rid Of Grey Hair
Grey hair is usually regarded as a sign of old age, so its common for people to want to get rid of grey hair, because who doesn’t want to reverse time? So here are a few tips you can use to get rid of grey hair. Read on!

Understand the reason behind grey hair.

Grey hair is mainly genetic. Eventhough most people start seeing greys as they age, there really is no age when you are suppose to get grey hair. Some people might get them in their middle ages, while some might get them in their teens. Greying also largely depends on race.

It is not an effect of stress. It is a very common myth that grey hair is a result of excessive stress; but there is no scientific evidence to back this up. Hair becomes grey when not enough melanin is produced at the hair root by the cells that produce color. Another reason behind greying is that hydrogen peroxide sometimes builds up around hair follicles, and this has a bleachinf effect on the hair shaft. However, even though stress is not directly linked to hair greying; it is still a good idea to lead a stress free life.

Visit to doctor. If your hair is prematurely greying, a visit to the doctor might be a good idea, as this could be a sign of other health problems.

Coloring grey hair.

Dye your hair completely if your hair is mostly grey, this is the best and most hassle-free option for you. The first time, it is advisable to get it done by a professional as they can pick out which hair color suits you perfectly, and they can also ensure even coverage. Just be sure to avoid dyes that contain ammonia as they are damaging. Also know that if you do decide to dye your whole hair, you will have to be prepares to put in time and money behind maintaining it.

Try highlights. Instead of coloring your whole hair, you can try highlights.    Hightlights add both color and texture to your hair; they are also a great way to make bring some life in to dull hair. They can range from barely there to extremely bold, play around and go with what you think suits you best. Eventhough they are more expensive, they last longer than full hair dyes.

Give henna a try. Henna is completely natural and not harmful at all. It is also a natural conditioner, and will make your hair super soft, shiny, and sleek. Henna gives a reddish tinge to hair, the lighter your original hair color, the more bright and vibrant red it will become.  Henna is sold in brick like forms, it needs to be melted. Or it can be available in a powder form which needs to be mixed with tea or coffee, and then applied. It has mud-like properties, and you need to leave it on for several hours for the color to develop completely. However, know that if you do decide to use henna, you cannot use regularchemical dyes on top. So make sure you are ready for some commitment before using henna.

Try using hair rinses that are completely natural. There are several natural home made rinses, involving several different liquids that can maybe add color to your hair. Though this method is debatable, you can still give it a shot, who knows, it might work for you:

Gooseberries or amla: Put in a few gooseberries or amla in coconut oil, until the amla takes on a black color. Strain the liquid and allow it to cool. Once cool, massage it on to your scalp and hair using your fingers. Let it sit for 30 minitues before rinsing it out.

Sage and Rosemary: fill a large pot with water, put in half cup of sage and half cup of rosemary, and boil the ingredients for 30 minitues. Turn off the heat after 30 minutes, and let the mixture cool. Once cool, strain it, and pour the water over your hair and then let it dry. Once dry, wash out with shampoo. Repeat this process atleast once a week.

Black Walnut: Open up some black walnuts and take out the fruit. Add the fruit to a pot of water, and boil for about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and allow the mixture to cool. Once cool, strain it, and use the water to rinse your hair. Let your hair naturally air dry, before following up with shampoo. Repeat this process twice a week.

So do your research and choose your methods wisely as to what will suit you the best. Greying can be reversed, and as you can see there are several ways to do it. But also remember to maintain a good, healthy, and active lifestyle, as this will physically keep your body younger.
