My 1 day stay in Madurai
Madurai is the perfect place to spend after the tiresome
journey of touring the famous places in South India…
Hi Friends!
Today I will write about Madurai where I stayed for 1 day
and felt very refreshed and full of energy and spirit thereafter.
My tour to South India and visiting all the famous spots and
places made me really tired and my whole body started aching due to the long
continuous journey.
I was suggested by one of the friend to visit Madurai which
will take away all the tiredness with its calming weather and so refreshing
natural scenes.
As I stepped out of my car I could feel the awesome cool
breeze touching my skin and face giving that cooling, freshening effect.

My room was booked in Hotel Germanus. I took my shower and
had some breakfast and was ready to visit some of the famous attractions of
Madurai.
The Sri Meenakshi Temple which I have read in History books
and have seen in the movies and picture was standing in front of me. Truly the
temple is a real magnificent piece of art and architecture. The carvings and
the sculpture is can well depict the architectural sense the devotion towards
the heavenly goddess and its power is enshrined in the temple.
Koodal Azahagar Temple,
Sri Subramanya Swamy Temple and Aayiram Kaal Mandapamare also very famous
temples which were built of stone cutting and rock engraving with various
structural and geometrical shapes designed to bring the exclusive piece of art
and religion mixed together for fineness.

The large pond of
VandiyurMriammanTeppakulam of Madurai is a real must visit place. The very big
pond with water slowly moving from one side to another as per the wind blowing
producing the cooling effect in the surrounding air is beautiful.
The Kutladampatti Falls
which is the famous waterfall and the white water gushing out of the hills
creating the joyful constant sound will chill your nerves and reenergize your
mind.
