How To Make Methi Mathri At Home

In India, methi is used in many dishes. Methi is also known as fenugreek. Its very good for health and helps in digestion as well.
Today will share recipe to make fenugreek flavored crisp savory discs known as Methi Mathri. You need to give 20 minutes for preparation and 30 minutes to cook.

Ingredients:
  1. Refined Flour – 2 cups
  2. Salt – 1 tbsp
  3. Carom Seeds (Ajwain) – ½ tsp
  4. Dry Fenugreek leaves (Kasoori methi) – 1 tbsp
  5. Pepper corns – 1 tsp
  6. Clarified Butter (ghee) – 5 tbsp
  7. Refined oil – deep fry

How to Make?
  1. Take pepper corns and crush them nicely.
  2. In a bowl take refined flour, carom seeds, salt, pepper corns and Kasoori methi and mix then nicely.
  3. In this mixture add 5 tbsp melted clarified butter and then mix it nicely with mixture.
  4. With the help of cold water kneed it make hard dough.
  5. Cover the dough with cotton cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  6. Divide this dough into 24 equal pieces. Flatten each ball and with the thumb slightly press it and then with the help of fork prick on the balls.
  7. Take a pan and heat sufficient refined oil.
  8. On medium flame fry mathri’s till it become golden brown.
  9. Once mathri is fried remove it in absorbent paper. Let it cool down.
  10. Your Mathri’s are ready.
You can store it for a month and enjoy delicious mathri with a cup of tea. As festivals are nearby thus you can offer them to your guests as well.
