Who on earth doesn't wants to stay fit and healthy. But fitness is hard and can't be achieved in a blink of an eye, it really requires a lot of effort and hard work.

And in order to achieve that perfect physic, is it important to follow certain tips, especially if you are a beginner.

These tips- dos and don'ts help you achieve the real benefits of your work out.

Decide your exercise activity which includes many options like dancing, rumba, cycling, biking, walking, jogging, running, cardio, push-ups etc.

Make a time table for your fitness regime and follow it regularly. At-least keep 30 minutes for your fitness regime.

Choose a comfortable pair of shoes, which you would be wearing during your work-out session. It is important to wear the shoes that fit well that are capable of providing you an ease when you perform your activity. Sports shoes are recommended for this.

Appropriate clothing is also important. Wear clothes of a fabric that would absorb sweat and keep you away from itchiness.

If you are performing any aerobics or outdoor activity, then wear safety pads for elbows, knees & wrists.

For a beginner, it is important to identify the threshold of the body. See, certain amount of discomfort is normal and evitable during the fitness regimes and work out sessions, but large amount of it can be a warning sign to you that you should stop performing.  Below are some of the symptoms which you should keep in mind and if you see them, immediately stop working-out.

Feel slight pain or a kind of heaviness in the middle or left part of your chest.
Heavy pain in the left side of your arm, shoulder or neck.
Muscle cramps occurs.
Notice your heart , when it starts beating irregularly.
Break out in a cold sweat.
Feeling fainted.

If you are hiring a personal trainer or you have a gym trainer, then make sure he/she is qualified and certified who can take appropriate action during the case of emergency.

Always tell state your body limitations to the trainer so that they don't push you to an extreme state which you can't take in. During a work-out, every body works over its limitations, because then only fitness is achieved but extreme situations can be dangerous.

After work-out, don't rush to drink stomach full water to quench your thirst, as it is normal to feel thirsty. Either drink half glass water slowly or drink a glass of fresh fruit juice but don't drink in hurry, trying drinking slowly.

Allow your body to rest for 10 minutes after work-out, so that it can come back to the normal state. Relax by lying down and listening to your favorite music or flipping magazine pages.
