Uses of Ginger for Hair Loss

Uses of Ginger for Hair Loss
Ginger is one of the very delectable spices available in our markets. It has been used for centuries to cure a range of health conditions like nausea and heart problems. However not a lot of people know that ginger can be used to treat hair loss. The practice started with the Chinese community who incorporated ginger into their traditional medicine to help with hair loss.

Most men and women have a tendency to lose hair as they age.

This significantly changes one’s look and that is why people are looking for alternative hair growing treatments all around the world.

But if you want to grow your hair back naturally, you must try ginger.

Properties that make ginger the best treatment for hair loss

Essential fatty acids - Ginger has essential fatty acids which help to regrow hair in the old days. This ingredient does so by preventing the thinning of hair that often leads to hair loss. The fatty acids are also used to fight scalp disorders which affect most people today.

Circulatory agents - Ginger has circulatory agents which help to increase the rate of blood flow to the scalp. The increased blood flow helps to increase the rate of hair growth. When the blood flow is active on your scalp, more nutrients and oxygen are able to reach your hair follicle and this boosts your hair growth.

Magnesium, phosphorous and potassium - Ginger is a natural spice that contains magnesium, phosphorous and potassium in plenty. These ingredients help to restore sheen to your hair as well as adding some shine to it.

How to use ginger in case of hair loss

Ginger can be used in different ways to restore hair. Here are some ways in which it can be used.

Apply the ginger juice on your whole scalp or just rub a little on the bald spot. Leave the juice on the scalp for 20 minutes and wash it off with shampoo and warm water.

If ginger is too strong on your scalp, simply take some ginger and crush it slightly. Heat the ginger with your regular oil and apply this ginger infused oil on your whole hair starting from the roots to the tips. To make the oil more beneficial, you can add some curry leaves when heating the oil.

Apply the ginger juice to your scalp and leave it for an hour.

Shampoo your hair and apply hair oil and leave it for the night.

Mix a part of the crushed ginger juice with your regular hair oil and massage the mixture on your scalp using a circular motion. Leave it to rest for 30 minutes and wash it off with a shampoo.

Grate a ginger root and mix it with jojoba oil. Wait for the mixture to cool for about 10 minutes. Add some lemon juice to the mixture and mix it evenly. Rub this mixture on your scalp and leave it for 30 minutes. Rinse off the mixture using a shampoo.

It is advisable for those with sensitive scalps to first seek medical attention as ginger can cause irritation to the scalp. The results may also take 3-4 months, so patience is highly recommended when using ginger to treat hair loss.

Ginger is a natural and cost-effective way of boosting your hair growth and fighting other hair problems. There is no need to spend so much money on chemical treatments when there is a natural way out.
